So I created a blog for a friend of mine the other day just to show him the benefit of having an ad driven site, even based on google ads and a blogger also known as blogspot account. So here is a basic list of the steps you need to take to get paid. I will post a beginner's tutorial at a later date.
1) Go to www.gmail.com
2) If you don't already have an account set one up. Do as you wish, but keep in mind this is a business matter. As such this should be treated as a business email address and not used for spam. I'd recommend keeping it private and only used for legitimate business associates.
3) Login to your gmail account.
4) Go to www.google.com unless it already says my account at the top right of the screen, and click on my account.
5) Click on adsense, and setup and adsense account.
6) If you don't already have one, go to blogspot.com and setup a new account.
7) Create a new blog, customize your settings to add adsense. Make sure you click the tallest ad for your right column, and the widest ad such as banner for the top of the page. You can move the banner after setting it up simply by dragging it up to the top of the page.
